| Scottish Ballet Unleashes the Beast to the Sound of Radiohead at the Edinburgh International Festival Scottish Ballet is delighted to announce that acclaimed choreographer Stephen Petronio has chosen to set new production Ride The Beast (a world premiere) to the music of Radiohead. As an avid fan of their music, Petronio has selected five tracks spanning Radiohead’s career to complement the layered complexity and primal nature of his new work. Scottish Youth Theatre is 30 years young this year and will be holding a 70's Fundraising Party on Friday 22 June 2007 at their new home in The Old Sheriff Court Building, 105 Brunswick Street in Glasgow's Merchant City. In this time the company has engaged with thousands of young people, from Orkney to Glasgow, St Petersburg to New York and Edinburgh to Inverness, through its diverse range of creative activities.

Minority Language Music urged to move in from the Margins English may be the world's second most widely-used language but Hot House Flowers front man Liam Ó Maonlaí will be in Inverness next month to argue the case for minority languages to find their way into mainstream music. Ó Maonlaí - who is famously quoted as saying 'words, particularly English words, are not enough' - joins a panel of music industry experts for the 'Why English?' debate taking place at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel on Thursday June 7 from 12.30pm till 3pm and which forms part of this year's goNorth festival.
