| Creative Islanders Encouraged to Get Together A conference of Creative Islanders from across the Hebrides will take place on Easdale Island in mid August 2005, and will be used to launch a new funding scheme to promote better arts and cultural links between island communities. 29 July 2005 |

| Funding success for new Shetland Museum and Archives Art Project The New Shetland Museum and Archives project, currently being developed by The Shetland Amenity Trust, is bringing £125,550 to Shetland for its innovative arts and heritage project.
