Summer in the City, the 3rd Annual Medicine Music Charity Show and Bar-B-Q, will be held at The Maple Court Hotel, Inverness on 25th July.
Artistes featured on the day include:
- Bayou Seco (from Louisiana) - A life time growing up, living, breathing and travelling with the music can't be replicated, the real Cajun deal of the Bayous.
- Jeep Solid - The God Father of Astral Funk and Clan Chief of Torridon Dub, brings his own brand of soulful spiritual kayos to the event.
- Calamateur - Enduring memories from last year's Summer in the City. Calamatuer now boasts a fine album release and a growing and well founded reputation as one of our very best young songwriters.
- Bluebelly - Maple Court favourites, Blues duo with a quirky slant on life's hard bitten irony, feel good Blues and no apologies either.
- Galipaygos - Roots and Alt-country string band with a flare for writing and playing a good song (the radical acoustic wing of the rock band LaCova).
- Sidewinder - Supercharged song vehicle for Ross-shire Rock God Hugh Winton, show steelers at two Catalyst Festivals, now locking on to Summer In The City.
- Kobi - adding their considerable power and strength to the bill in the afternoon, the Ross-shire based indie rock combo are as busy as any band and the work is paying of with a growing and loyal following around Scotland.
All artistes play in the afternoon and is in the Maple Court Garden (weather permitting). Admission is free by donations to Maggie's Cancer Centre. The evening is headlined by Bayou Seco and admission is £7. Phone for Evening Concert and Restaurant bookings and menu's on 01463 230330.
