Everybody has been taken by storm with the demand for Here’s Tae Us / A Celebration of Scottish Music, not least Billy McIsaac, who has had to re-order twice over the last two weeks. Most shops in Lochaber had sold out within 2 days.
Billy is delighted to announce that the project costs (£8000) have been met and that sales of the CD are expected to be exceptionally high as we go into the tourist season.
‘After one and a half years of total commitment to this project I feel totally vindicated in the belief I always held, that the CD would deliver substantial funds to Lochaber Hydrotherapy.’ said Billy.
The media reaction has been nothing short of stunning. Billy has just completed a massive radio interview tour all over Scotland, extensive press coverage and Television spots on – ‘Never mind the Buzzcocks’, Grampian Television News programme with STV’s Scotland Today to follow soon.
There are plans to release a DVD at Christmas featuring Song for Shona and Here’s Tae Us (Billy’s two tracks on the CD), Queen of the Hill (Donnie Munro) and The Pearl (Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain) along with stunning footage of Lochaber and narrative by a leading Scottish actor. Billy is also having talks with a Canadian distributor regarding releasing the CD in Canada.
