New Online Literary Magazine
New Online Literary Magazine
14 May 2004

Sandstone Review is a new, free online literary magazine, with the first issue being Highland focussed.

The first issue of the Review has remained Highland focussed with poetry from Robert Davidson, fiction from Donald S. Murray, Anne Lorne Gillies's Gaelic language review of Angus Peter Campbell's new novel, An Oidhche Mus Do Sheol Sinn, and Jim Paterson’s review of Don Paterson’s prize winning new collection, Landing Light.

The long awaited, much talked about, Vista Series is now available in bookshops and for online purchase through the web site.  The first launch will feature The White Cliffs author Suhayl Saadi and will take place at the Highland Readers Day event at The Highland Council Buildings in Inverness Saturday 5th June.  The day’s activities begin at 9:45am with Suhayl participating in discussions and workshops from 10:30.  The White Cliffs launch is scheduled for 3:30pm.

For the first time the Northwords Folio Series is available online.  This popular series frontlines the best in poetry from Highland Scotland and beyond with Ian Crockatt, Janet Macinnes, James Miller, Rhoda Michael, John Miller and Galway’s Fred Johnston.

Wendy Sutherland's superb print Dunbeath Water is already selling well in galleries around Scotland but can also be purchased through the web site.  This is a strictly limited edition of fifty.

The new Sandstone Press Newsletter will keep you informed on the Vista Series, the upcoming Gaelic fiction, fine art prints and poetry as well as much else that is happening.  Not least it will let you know who and what is appearing in Sandstone Review.

You can subscribe to the Newletter by visiting the Sandstone Review at www.sandstonepress.com
