Top Scottish band Blazin Fiddles are getting themselves in shape for their annual Scottish tour with a gruelling cycle challenge from Inverness to Fort William. The 76 mile treck is being doen to help raise funds for the Highland Hospice. As is usual with the band things aren't quite as straight forward as they could be as Iain MacFarlane explains " We decded to do something that would be a bit of a challenge but also be a bit of craic so we're tying the cycle in with playing sessions in various hostelries along the way, with two big sessions in Fort Augustus and Glenfinnan. We're hoping the tunes will raise as much as the cycling. I certainly know which bit of the journey I'm looking forward to!"

The troup set off from Inverness on Wednesday 4th August and hope to get to Glenfinnan by the 5th.
