HI~Arts is in the process of updating it’s online Gallery Guide, which can be found at http://www.hi-arts.co.uk/gallery-guide.htm The HI~Arts website receives in the region of 5000 unique visitors a day, primarily by people planning to visit the Highlands Islands, and therefore is an excellent way through which to market your organisation.
Two hard copy editions of the Gallery Guide were produced between 1999 and 2002, and it is hoped that sponsorship can be secured at a future date to create a third hard copy edition, for which this information will be used.
To qualify for a listing in the Gallery Guide you have to be at least one of the following things:
-
a public funded art gallery
-
a private gallery
-
an “open” artist’s studio
-
a visual arts association
-
a venue/organisation running regular visual arts workshops, classes or projects
In addition, all venues must be open to the public for at least three months per year and exhibit original artwork.
Due to space restrictions, we cannot include organisations that deal exclusively with crafts or applied artwork, but you can submit your details to the CraftScotland website at http://www.craftscotland.org
