A year long programme of art and craft workshops will be launched by the Made in Moray Arts & Crafts Co-operative in
Elgin on
31 October 2004.
On the day there will be an exhibition of the work of the Co-operative members with the artists doing demonstrations in woodturning, acrylic painting, pottery, jewellery making and card making.
They will also be holding “Taster Session” art and craft workshops. Each session is tutored by a skilled member of the Co-operative and will give a taster is subjects such as watercolour, brush techniques, ceramic painting, decoupage, card making, wood turning, jewellery making, knitting etc. The sessions cost £3 on the day but can be pre-booked.
Children are not forgotten as 2 workshops have been organised which will cover a variety of media. The workshops last for 1 ½ hours and cost £2. Booking for these is advisable. There will also be a children’s creative area – drawing, clay etc – please note however, that this will be an unsupervised section.
Teas, refreshments will be available all day and the proceeds of a raffle of Made in Moray products will go to further the workshops programme.
