This year, Farr Traditional Music Concerts has a double bill with that phenomenal group DAIMH  and one of the best gaelic singers in the business, Ishbel MacAskill, to get the concert rolling on Saturday 27 November 2004.

Daimh will be performing for the bigger part of the evening. They have played to a full house at Farr a couple of years ago and their playing left the audience breathless and refusing to let them off stage. You do not want to miss them!

Ishbel MacAskill was booked to open the concert when  Fraser Fifield  played at Farr in February 2003 but, unfortunately, had to call off due to ill-health. However, they have managed to get her back again and give you a chance to listen, in person, to that unique and beautiful voice. The contrast in styles between the two acts is quite intentional as Farr Traditional Music Concerts try to meet all tastes and present a varied programme.

This is the fifteenth St Andrew's event staged at Farr. Over the years the numbers of people attending the bonfire/fireworks/music part, and attending the concert, have grown considerably. Others are now starting to get the message that Scotland should be celebrating its own day properly (why waste fireworks on Mr Fawkes?-who's he??) but FARR set the ball rolling
all these years ago. Make sure you are part of it!!

Bonfire+Fireworks+Music (various artistes including ' The Scurlies') starts at 6pm behind Farr Hall and is free entry. The Concert starts at 8pm in Farr Hall. Tickets are £10/£8 and can be
