Academi’s Cardiff International Poetry Competition offers one of the largest money prizes for a poetry competition of its kind. First prize is £5000, with Second prize of £1000, and third at £750 and five honourable mentions will receive publication and free Academi membership. All entries to the competition will be judged anonymously, so this is a great opportunity to allow your unique voice to sing out from the pile and have your poetry judged on its own merits.
You have until 28th January 2005 to write your prizewinning poem and give yourself a shot at £5000, publication, publicity and a real feeling of achievement.
For further information or some encouragement, please browse the website at www.academi.org where you will find links to the judges’ homepages, winning poems from the last five years and hints and tips on entering.
