Welcome to the world of books and authors at the Àrainn Shuaineirt Book Festival on 3 & 4 December 2004.
Friday 3rd December
Friday morning and afternoon will focus on school activities.
On Friday evening at 7:30pm there will be a ceilidh with Live Literature and Music. Among those taking part are Anita Govan, Gillian Ferguson, Dominic Cooper, Flora MacDonald and Fergie MacDonald, plus some of our talented young musicians. Ceilidh begins at 7:30pm,
admission £5 (concessions £3), with refreshments included.
Saturday 4th December
On Saturday the Book Festival continues with a day of author's talks and workshops, children's events, story corner, book signings and opportunities to meet the authors, and a chance to browse through Ottakers Books. Among those taking part are: Viv French, Kenny Taylor,
Floraidh NicDhomhnaill, Natalie Russell, Gillian Ferguson, Ian R Mitchell, Anita Govan, Dominic Cooper, Fiona MacDonald, plus representatives of the National Union of Journalists and an opportunity to access their online materials. A great opportunity for would be authors and journalists, or anyone interested in words and books.
Times are 11:00am to 4:00pm, with tickets for the full day at £6 & £4, and half day tickets £4 & £3. Refreshments will be available all day.
