2005 BBC Folk Awards show-stealer Karine Polwart and her band have been confirmed for Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival on 12th and 13th August. Award winning Karine (Horizon Award for Best Emerging Artist, Best Original Song for "The Sun's Comin Over the Hill" and Best Album for "Faultlines" )  joins a growing and impressive list of performers already confirmed including Country Joe MacDonald, Peatbog Faeries, Bluetones, Jason Ringenberg, Endrick Brothers and Cinematics.
 
Following its sell-out success last year, the festival will run over two days and on three stages at Belladrum Italian Gardens, near Beauly with camping, theatre, stalls and other attractions available. For the second year running, the festival has named Maggie's Cancer Care Centres as its chosen charity for a donation from the event.
