One of America's most durable country-roots performers Steve Young will be making a rare visit to Scotland in late March for some live dates.

Young, whose debut album came out in the late 60s marking this influential troubadour out as a leading light on the scene. His songs have been covered by the likes of Waylon Jennings, The Eagles, Ian Mathews, Hank Williams Jnr  and Rita Coolidge. Primal Young, his first recording for over six years, was released on Glasgow Roots Label Spit 'n' Polish in 2001 to great reviews and enthusiastic comment. Young will be accompanied on the dates by his singer-songwriter son Jubal Lee Young. Steve Young is an American music legend really, and one who has always been aware of his Scottish heritage he is travelling with his son  Jubal lee, and  the motivation behind the trip is for Steve to show Jubal the ancestral homeland.

  • April 2nd - Bein Inn, GLENFARG (near Perth)
  • April 3rd - State Bar, GLASGOW
  • April 5th - The Lemon Tree, ABERDEEN
