On Saturday April 23 from 1pm till 5pm in the Elgin Community Centre, students of Moray College will be holding an Art Workshop for beginners. The workshop is designed for adults who want to explore their own creativity. You can bring your own paints if you have them but other drawing materials will be provided. Participants at the workshop will be encouraged to free up their imaginations before tackling some figure drawing or still life drawing.
If you have ever wanted to try your hand at drawing, basic techniques and choosing colours this is the workshop for you. Absolutely no experience is needed and there will be several students on hand to share their skills and pass on the knowledge they have learned during the BA Fine Art course at Moray College in Elgin.
Cost of the workshop is £12.50 and booking in advance is recommended because numbers will be limited. To reserve your place on the workshop, please phone Linda Smith on 01343 540111 or email lmmsmith@tiscali.co.uk
The BA Fine Art degree course at Moray College is part of the University of the Highlands and Islands. Taking part in the workshop are 3rd year students Linda Smith and Jane Foster and Dunia del Campo Baena, Jenny McLaren, Louise Dunn and Caroline Hewat from 2nd year.
Funds raised from running the workshop will be going towards a proposed trip to New York at Easter next year to visit MOMA and other galleries. Other fundraising events are being planned for later in the year including a Celebrity Doodle Auction and a Whisky Tasting Event.
For more information about the workshop or any of the other events please phone Caroline Hewat 01349 877434 or email caroline.hewat@virgin.net
