Showing at Tobermory Art from 24th May is new work by local artist Dawn Reade. Using the medium of Lino cut the artist creates prints which have a bold linear style. Dawn does much of her lino-cutting work in her kitchen, keeping the lino warm on the Aga. She largely draws inspiration from little happenings and observations of her own life, her children, domestic life, and her surroundings on the Isle of Mull. Dawn works mostly in monochrome however she has recently been experimenting with colour, both during the printing process and by hand. This will be the artist’s first solo exhibition of her work
