Arts-in-health charity, Hearts&Minds, aims to promote the quality of life for people in hospital care. Their Clowndoctors programme, for children in hospital care aged 6 months - 18 years, will be launched in the North East in January 2006 at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children, Aberdeen .
Later this summer, Hearts&Minds will be looking for two freelance professional performing artists to train as Clowndoctors. Clowndoctors are very special performers. Hearts&Minds need people who have a wide range of performing art skills (ideally with character clowning training), experience in using the arts to benefit others and at least five years professional performing experience, and who are able to make a regular commitment to the programme .
