Are you a professional Scottish playwright with work being performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe? Do you know anybody who is?
The Playwrights' Studio, Scotland (PSS) is opening a Play Resource Centre during August at Scotland's Theatre Gateway, to promote Scotland's plays and playwrights.
As an important resource for visitors to the Fringe, PSS want to collate a catalogue of information about Scotland's living playwrights and your produced plays.
To achieve this PSS ask that those of you who have had a play/s professionally produced email a copy of your CV to
caroline@playwrightsstudio.co.uk detailing all plays that have been or will have had a professional production up to and including August 2005.
PSS will also be producing a list of all the plays by Scotland's professional playwrights being produced during the Festival to give exposure to the work of Scotland's playwrights.
If you are a playwright who have had a least one professional play produced, please let PSS know if you have a play being performed during the festival so that PSS can make sure it is included. NB Your play does not need to be performed by a professional company to be included in the list - it is the playwright who must be professional.
If this is you, please get in touch with Playwrights' Studio Scotland urgently.
To let us know about your play that is being produced email Caroline at
caroline@playwrightsstudio.co.uk or call Anita on (0141) 332 4403.
In addition to promoting the Scottish plays the Fringe, the Resource Centre will also have copies of a large number of Scottish play scripts for sale.
The Resource Centre will be open from 9 – 28 Aug (excluding Mondays)from 11.30am to 9.30pm. Please do call in.
