Acclaimed funnyman Ross Noble hits the Scottish Highlands next month to launch a new UK tour & DVD. A mammoth nationwide schedule begins with one of the most extensive tours of Scotland ever undertaken by a contemporary comedian. Ross plays 20 dates throughout August - from Castle Douglas to Kirkwall, and from Oban to Aberdeen – with his brand new stand-up show Randomist.
Alongside big city theatres the tour will visit many small halls and community centres in the more remote areas of Scotland, bringing comedy to places other comedians fail to reach. This is Ross’ second Scottish tour, following on last year’s sell-out success of Noodlemeister. “I’m delighted to be back and doing twice as many dates as last year” he says, “We had an absolute ball in most of the smaller venues with some of our best shows and most enthusiastic audiences”.
Regarded as ‘the most brilliant stand-up of his generation’ (Sunday Telegraph), the 29 year old Geordie has been touring Australia for the past 6 months where he has become one of the country’s most popular comedians. He has sold out huge shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, and Perth, and smashed previous box offices sales records at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
“One of the most amazing things about English comic Noble, now rising to the very top ranks, is the way his show starts as though it’s already been going for hours. We go from cold to hot in seconds, laughing like hyenas clinging onto Noble’s comedy super-train.” Sydney Morning Herald
In recent years tickets for Noble’s shows have become increasingly popular and many of the new tour dates are selling fast. Those who are able to get tickets for RANDOMIST can expect an all-new show and plenty of Noble’s brilliant trade-mark free-form improvisation.
To coincide with the tour a new DVD SONIC WAFFLE will be released in October and will be packed with extras. Alongside a full length (110mins) live performance from the Vaudeville Theatre, London, a 2nd disc will include Noble’s performance (50mins) and previously unseen cuts from the recent BBC 1 show ‘Jack Dee Live at the Apollo.’
