Dingwall venue Rock is starting a new monthly band night to encourage up & coming talent and give them an outlet to play.

The first event will be held on Sunday August 28th 2005 and will feature 3 top quality acts:

Shutter - based in Inverness/Edinburgh the instrumental act have been on a roll in 2005 with 2 successful Scottish tours, not to mention playing the Evanton Music Festival and the Tartan Heart Festival Fringe along with supporting top acts such as Exist and Dead Fly Buchowski.

The Method - voted second best up & coming act in Scotland by the listeners of the Tom Morton show on BBC Radio Scotland, the band played a brief but stunning gig at the Tartan Heart Festival and have been booked for the Lochaber Live Festival in September.

Vakker - member's include former Snodgrass/Cinematic guitarist Angus Carbarns and former Baby Orph guitarist Stuart Moffat. Their recent debut performance in Inverness proved that they are a band to watch and are highly recommended.

The night will also have a demo box at the door where any bands interested in playing future nights are invited to come along and hand a CD in.
