This dance festival is hugely building in success after 2 years. This third year from 11-13 November 2005
in Kingussie promises to be even better with even more first-class tuition, concerts and ceilidhs.
'The Occasionals' open the festival on Fridau night with a dance. "Meantime" and 'dannsa' join forces for a sensational Saturday night!
Tuition is available in Country dancing, Ceilidh dancing, Irish dancing, Highland dancing and Step dancing.
As well as dancing, classes are offered in Puirt-a-beul(mouth music), Fiddle and Mouth-organ tunes.
One highlight of the classes is the presence of live music.
Lunchtime performances include 'Heilan' Toe' doing the Papa Stoer Swords and Dance Ihayami displaying some South Indian dance traditions.
The festival is open to everyone 14 years and over with events from lunchtime and some afternoon classes open to under 14’s. It is open to those who may be selective in what they attend.
“....
it was ten times better than just a "really good weekend" ; it was one of the best times I'd ever had in my life. The music and dance were just outstanding. ”, Joyce Cochrane.
