Two UK Premieres Headline Third Inverness Film Festival

The 3rd Inverness Film Festival will take place this year from Wednesday 2 – Sunday 6 November 2005  at Eden Court Cinema And Vue Cinema.

Eden Court is delighted to announce the exciting the line-up for the third Inverness Film Festival, offering UK and Scottish premieres, classic films, special guests and workshops.

The Festival will run from Wednesday 2 to Sunday 6 November. Film screenings will take place at Eden Court Cinema at The Floral Hall and VUE multiplex, with workshops at Inshes Church.

Inverness movie lovers can look forward to two UK premieres in their home city: the British comedy drama Mrs Henderson Presents starring Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins, and Breakfast On Pluto starring Cillian Murphy and Liam Neeson.

Amongst the 6 Scottish premieres are the opening film Tristram Shandy: A Cock And Bull Story, starring Steve Coogan and Stephen Fry, the George Clooney directed Good Night And Good Luck, and the widely acclaimed documentary Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room.

Festival guest Richard Jobson will be talking before the Scottish premiere of his new film, A Woman In Winter. The former punk star, model and TV presenter, turned film director, earned rave reviews last year for his debut movie 16 Years Of Alcohol.

Two classic films, Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator and Fellini’s 8½, will round off the programme.

The free workshops include introductions to animation, horror film make-up effects, and script writing from Scottish Screen tutor David Griffiths.

Festival Director and Eden Court Film Development Officer Michael McDaid said:
