An Tobar, the Tobermory Arts Centre will be showing a body of work from the Glasgow School of Art 2005 Degree Show by Mull-born artist, Imogen Gardner, from 5-22 November 2005.
Dimensions of Memory and Instinct is a collection of work which deals with surface and undercurrent, reflecting the environmental territories of body and mind. In her work, Imogen draws inspiration from every part of our surroundings, especially in the built up areas of the city where marks and stains, remains and graffiti and discarded garments and belongings provide a never-ending tale of lives and stories. Dimensions of Memory and Instinct is being shown at An Tobar through an ongoing commitment to promote new work by graduate artists with connections to Mull & Iona.
The exhibition, Dimensions of Memory and Instinct - Work by Imogen Gardner, previews on Friday 4th November in Gallery I, An Tobar, 6-8pm and runs till 22nd November 2005.
