The Networking Artists Networks initiative (NAN) is collaborating with Veer North, an artists' collective in Shetland
which connects artists throughout Europe, to bring you the next in its series of inspirational networking events and research trips.
60 degrees north will be bursting with activity, dialogue, site visits and socialising, focusing on issues of location, cultural context and internationality, as well as contemporary art practice in alternative settings.
- talks, walks, site seeing and activities including dry stane dyking
- meet artists from Scotland, Scandinavia and Europe
- network and meet with like-minded artists
- explore the unique and inspiring landscapes of Shetland
60 degrees north will include:
- Travel / accommodation / hospitality
- An alternative artists' tour of Shetland including visits to some of Shetland's artists, archaeology, remote beaches and tombola
- Party / social occasions to meet, eat, drink and be merry with artists and arts organisers
- A day of discussions centred around contemporary artists' practice and
location

Please email a short biography and up to 150 words on why you would like to come to 60 degrees north, together with your name and address, phone number and email, to events@a-n.co.uk with NAN Shetland Application in the title.
Deadline for Applications: Applications need to be received by 2pm on Friday 10 February 2006.
Places are FREE but limited to ten artists based in Scotland.
If your application is successful you will be required to pay a one off payment of £25 to secure your place.
