Bombskare/D.o.P.E. Highland Dates February 2006
10 February 2006

Two of the central belts top live bands 10 Piece Edinburgh Juggernaut Ska band Bombskare and Funky Organic Glasburgh/Edingow Hip-Hop group The Disciples of Panic Earth (D.o.P.E.) are teaming up and will visit the Highlands for 2 dates, as they will play Mad Hatters, Inverness on February 17th then Rock, Dingwall on February 18th as part of a Robotone event with DJ Jamie B.

DJ Default D.o.P.E.'s producer and DJ explained how the decision to play together came about "We are good pals with Bombskare, they are excellent although we've never played on the same bill together, they come to see us all the time and we're often down the front for their gigs too, we sort of take it in turns to heckle each other from the dancefloor, its always a good laugh though"

Bombskare are know for never failing to deliver and are famed for their boundless energy, pulsating sets, and skankin' tunes. Since forming the band have played with, amongst many others, the great Laurel Aitken, Bad Manners, The Selecter and The Beat as well as performances at the Isle of Rum Festival and Spectrum Fest at the Queens Hall Edinburgh.

The Disciples of Panic Earth have built up a solid fanbase in the Highlands through regular visits to the Highlands, and like Bombskare have enjoyed many highlights such as performances at The Meadows Festival in Edinburgh and the Marsatac Festival in Marseille, France as well as featuring on a compilation released by Gdansk Recordings alongside artists such as Mylo, Silicone Soul and Monkeytrive.

"The Bombskare show is probably the most energetic show we've ever seen, so we'll be trying to outdo them!" said Default before sharing his thoughts on returning to the Highlands "I've said this before but our best gigs are always up North, there's always a good crowd and a messy party afterwards, which is what we specialise in"
