Refugee Week take place this year 19th – 25th June 2006 and organisers are looking for arts groups to get involved. Last year saw over 70 arts and cultural events take place all over Scotland and they are now accepting submissions for their 2006 programme. Refugee Week provides a platform where positive images of refugees can be promoted in order to create a culture of welcome throughout the UK. The aim is to create a better understanding between different communities and to encourage successful integration.
