The Scottish Arts Council has earmarked funds from its Partners: Scotland’s Artist Residency Programme to support nationwide arts projects that feature the theme of 2007, the Year Scotland celebrates Highland Culture. As part of this commitment, the 3 July 2006 Partners deadline will give priority to proposals which help meet the vision, aims and objectives of Highland 2007.

The Partners Fund is to support artist residencies based in and working in collaboration with, local communities, and artists can be in any artform including dance, drama, literature, visual arts and crafts.

Priority will be given to proposals which involve people who have few or no opportunities to participate in the arts or are in an area of multiple deprivation.  Other artist residency projects not connected to Highland 2007 will still be eligible.
