This July, the Fair City welcomes those cuddly CBBC TV personalities The Fimbles to Perth Concert Hall, in the first ever theatre production of their much loved TV show.
The show will land in the city on Tuesday 4 July for two days and three performances giving their young (and not so young) fans an unmissable party at Fimble Valley, full of excitement and wonder. Also joining them on stage will be BBC presenter Sarah-Jane Honeywell.
Fimbles Live! will give fans of the show their very first chance to see their favourite friends up close and on stage. Fimbo, Florrie and Baby Pom will be joined by their friends Roly Mo, Rockit as well as Bessie and Ribble. This delightful and imaginative production promises to be a colourful adventure full of music, song and dance, games and lots of sparkling surprises.
Fimbles Live! has been specially adapted from the hugely popular BBC programme, which is now in its fourth year.
David Wood OBE who adapted the show for the stage has been acclaimed as ‘the king of children’s theatre’ (The Guardian) and ‘the national children’s dramatist’ (The Times).
‘Many children will be first-time theatergoers, and to me, the most important audience of all,” says David Wood. “I hope to give them a special time by entertaining them, stimulating their imaginations and exciting their curiosity. Fimbles achieves this on television and bringing Fimbo, Florrie, Baby Pom and their friends to the stage is a challenge that I really relish.’
David Wood is also devising the high profile Children’s Party at Buckingham Place this June to celebrate the Queen’s 80th birthday.
