2006 so far has been an eventful year for instrumental group Shutter having supported The Deftones at Carling Academy, played the goNorth Festival in Aberdeen, headlined the opening of the Ironworks venue in Inverness to over 700 people and packing out the BBC stage at the Belladrum Festival and more.
The group are currently in negotiation with several labels but due to the sheer demand of requests for CDs from fans Shutter have decided to release a 3 track single with 'Sedona' (which has received airplay from Vic Galloway on Radio 1) with 'Your Gracious Wings Undone' and 'Lullaby Nightmares' being chosen as b-sides. The tracks can be previewed on the band's myspace site www.myspace.com/shutterscotland
Guitarist Peter Macdonald said "Lately we have been getting so many requests for CD's from people at gigs and messages via myspace we thought we should get something out so we discussed this with our manager and he agreed that the time was right to release this single".
The single will be launched at the goHi Festival in Inverness on Sept. 9th which is put together by goevents the people behind the goNorth Festival in Aberdeen and the goBasque Festival in Spain, Shutter will perform at Mad Hatters on Church Street, Inverness where the band first started to play together at the weekly jam sessions held every Wednesday at the venue.
