The Inverness Film Festival, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish film and television production company Brocken Spectre present
The Writers Factory Introduction to Screenwriting.
After a successful roll out across Scotland, this is the first time this course has been run in Inverness. Taught by the award winning Eleanor Yule, writer and director of among other films the Scottish feature ‘Blinded’ which starred Peter Mullan and BBC documentary ‘Michael Palin and the Ladies who loved Matisse’
Designed by the British Screenwriting veteran Phil Parker, the course was developed with the support of the UK Film Council. The aim of the course is to improve the quality of scripts being produced for television and film at the grassroots level.
The course is being organised by Brocken Spectre, a Scottish production company who have just completed the Tartan Short ‘Kissing, Tickling and Being Bored’ by Jim McRoberts to be broadcast on BBC 1 in November. Brocken Spectre are currently developing the feature film ‘White Male Heart’ based on the Highland novel by Ruaridh Nicoll to be shot in Sutherland in 2007.
The course will run over 4 days over 2 weekends, The 18-19 of November and 25-26 November. The course fees are £150.00. The venue will be easily accessible in Inverness City Centre.
