Kingussie Youth Dance show promises funky mix of Hip-Hop, Breakdance and Theatre
19 January 2007

AN EDEN COURT IN EXILE EVENT
Y-DANCE (SCOTTISH YOUTH DANCE) - RISK
SATURDAY 17 FEBRUARY 7.30PM
AT THE BADENOCH CENTRE, KINGUSSIE

Kingussie’s Badenoch Centre is to be visited by the thrilling show RISK from Scottish Youth Dance Theatre's brilliant Y-Dance project.

Created through interviews and workshops with young people, RISK is a funky and breathtaking fusion of hip-hop, breakdance, street-dance and theatre.

RISK is a story drawn from the voices and actions of a generation of young people. Personal safety is not exactly on the top of their list. They are looking for excitement, even danger - ways to feel more alive. RISK is about the decisions young people make as they walk the line between feeling alive and
staying alive.

There will be workshops to accompany this show for ages 14+. These will take place at Talla nan Ros, Kingussie on Saturday 17 February at 2.00-3.00pm and 3.30-4.30pm. Anyone interested should phone Eden Court Box Office on 01463 234234 for details.

RISK is a production by Scottish Youth Dance Theatre's Y-Dance project which encourages young people to get active and develop their creativity through dance.

Y-Dance’s previous production, The Story Of The Blues, played Inverness Royal Academy in October 2006.
