What do celebrities Alasdair Gray, Bruce Forsyth, Will McLean, Robbie Coltrane, Kate Winslet, Ian McKellen and Dalziel & Scullion have in common?
As well as many other stars of stage, screen, art and the media they have been donating delightful wee signed doodles to be auctioned at the GREAT CELEBRITY DOODLE AUCTION on Friday, February 9th from 7pm in the Gallery at Moray College in Elgin.
Celebrities have been generously donating their doodles for a fund raising auction for the art students trip to Berlin in 2007. These annual trips to leading galleries provide valuable inspiration for students giving them the opportunity to see the works of major artists and whats happening in the contemporary art scene. As well as doodles, there will be an etching by Keith McIntyre and a beautiful print from one of Scotlands foremost artists, Will Maclean. John Elwood is the guest auctioneer and the Janetta Grant Nairn quartet will be on hand to make the evening go with a swing. The Gallery in A block at Moray College, Elgin will be open to the public all week from Monday 5 February from 10am - 4pm so that the doodles can be viewed before they are sold.
This is an excellent opportunity to buy a unique Valentines gift for that very special person in your life. Not just any doodle a celebrity doodle!
