The Scottish Arts Council will announce the ten recipients of this year’s Creative Scotland Awards at a glittering awards ceremony at Prestonfield House this Thursday (8 March).
The prestigious lottery-funded awards which were initiated in 2000 to reward, honour and celebrate Scotland’s leading artists and help raise the profile of the arts, will provide the ten artists with £30,000 to realise their creative ideas in a major project. The recipients will also receive a handmade award by Scottish glass artist, Anita Pate.
There will be an opportunity for interviews and photographs with the ten award recipients at the Scottish Storytelling Centre, 43-45 High Street, Edinburgh Thursday 8 March 2007 at 10.30am
