Cirque du Soleil presents multidisciplinary shows combining circus arts, acrobatics, music, singing, dance, and theatre. The Cirque du Soleil productions Saltimbanco, Alegría, Quidam, Dralion, Varekai, DELIRIUM, Kooza and Corteo are touring shows, whereas Mystère, "O", Zumanity, Love and KÀ (in Las Vegas) as well as La Nouba (in Orlando) are resident shows.

Requirements:

Ø Able to play the violin (primary instrument) and other bow instruments such as the viola da gamba, viol, hurdy gurdy, violoncello, double bass, etc.

Ø Solid and diversified stage experience.

Ø Ability to work in a team in a changing setting and environment

Ø Experience with in-ear systems or headsets, an asset.

Ø Ability to blend musical genres and styles with a world beat flavour (no traditional styles)

Ø Ability to improvise

Ø One or more photos

Ø An audio demo (compulsory)

Ø A video demo (compulsory). Excerpts from performances or rehearsals are accepted. If you do not have a video, you can film yourself. Take a maximum of two minutes to introduce yourself to the camera, stating your name, age, nationality, background and the reasons why you are interested in working with Cirque du Soleil, and then play a complete piece on each instrument you play, demonstrating a range of musical styles. The total duration of your video demo should not exceed 20 minutes.
