Ceòlas 2007 is almost here, and more students are booked already than last year, which was a record in itself – so it looks like we are in for another fine year!!

Iain MacDonald will lead the tutors and students for his fourth year, and it will only get better and better.

Cape Breton stars for 2007 are John MacLean – Piping, Gleann Graham – Fiddle, Tara Rankin – Piano and Step Dancing supreme – Harvey Beaton. Uist connected tutors offer Gaelic, Piping, Singing and Dance. Calum Beaton, Rona Lightfoot, Allan MacDonald, Frank McConnell and Deirdre Morrison to name but a few.

We are privileged to have famous Northern Irish Artist BJ Vallely return to Uist to exhibit the work that was inspired by Ceòlas 2006. An exhibition of his work will be on show at Talla Chidhe, Lochboisdale from 21st June 2007.

Ceòlas is expanding its youth programme for 2007 with Piping and Fiddle and LATEST ADDITION is the Hebridean Dance Class which Sandra Robertson will run.

Evening Social Events have a major change with the Piping moving to Thursday and the Singers Night being on Monday while their voices are still fresh.

Ceòlas will be webcasting some events live (we think), so if you cannot attend – watch that space!!
