Arts in Motion welcome you to a preliminary meeting of an experimental Arts and Technology group. The intention of the group is to look at and discuss all of our work on the interface of arts and digital media, to bring in specialist speakers and workshops, to put on occasional events highlighting ongoing work and encouraging one off collaborations.

The first meeting to gauge interest and look at how to develop will be at Arts in Motion on Friday July 20th at 8pm.

Swiftly following is an event on July 29th from 9 – midnight at the Eastgate Centre Inverness. This will be in the Food Court and will showcase various contemporary developments and collaborations. If anyone has anything that they think would be suitable for this event please let us know for inclusion.

Distance Lab and HI~Arts have both expressed interest in supporting this venture, helping finance guest speakers, establishing a web-site etc.

Arts in Motion are also just beginning work on an online content library particularly for film-makers – if anyone is potentially interested in uploading content whether video, pictures or music / audio again please contact them at artsinmotion@btinternet.com, the licencing will be Creative Commons.

Next out will be Tartan Heart Festival with VJing in the Hothouse Tent and a late night outdoor screen for ambient music and film.
