The National Trust for Scotland at the Edinburgh International Book Festival

To celebrate the new photography exhibition Canna: Living Island, NTS is working with the Edinburgh International Book Festival to raise awareness of some of Scotland’s most beautiful islands.


Mairi Hedderwick, celebrated children’s writer and author of the popular ‘Katie Morag’ series will be introducing her latest book -Katie Morag and the Dancing Class at a special event as part of the world-famous Book Festival. These delightful books describe the adventures of a young girl who lives on the fictional Island of Struay, located off the west coast of Scotland.

This event is at 4.30pm on Wednesday 22 August in Charlotte Square Gardens, Edinburgh. Don’t miss the free exhibition too: Canna: Living Island runs until 20 October, between 11am and 3pm Monday to Saturday at No. 28 Charlotte Square.
