Franz Ferdinand to headline Loopallu
Franz Ferdinand to headline Loopallu
29 August 2007

As if there hasn’t been enough Franz Ferdinand excitement in the Highlands already this summer, with their intimate tour selling out in a matter of minutes, and fans queuing through the night to get their hands on the most sought after tickets of the year. The band now announced their only UK festival appearance of the summer.

The ‘little fest in the west’ Loopallu is very very proud to announce that Franz Ferdinand will be headlining the final night of this years festival. Currently the band are in Glasgow writing their third album which is due for release in the early part of 2008.

Loopallu takes place in the tiny, picturesque West Coast fishing village of Ullapool on the shores of Loch Broom over the Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of September. Now in its third year, and despite its remoteness, Loopallu has gained an almost cult like status selling out weeks in advance through word of mouth alone.

Loopallu not only boasts of one the most breathtaking of back drops of any festival, a line up that this year includes The Saw Doctors, The Bees, Dreadzone, The Tiny Dancers, The Vatersay Boys, Pull Tiger Tail and Sergeant, a fringe that continues long into the early hours after the main big top event finishes, and an array of local speciality food that sees Ullapool double its size for a weekend.

The last few remaining tickets for Loopallu 2007 are on sale now from the following outlets:

www.thebooth.co.uk

The Seaforth: 01854 612122
