Starter for 6 is a business support programme led by NESTA in Scotland, working in partnership with many organisations including Scottish Arts Council, Six Cities Design Festival, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Cultural Enterprise Office, ICASS and Innovation Centres (Scotland) Ltd.
The programme provides business training, support and the opportunity to be considered for grant awards of up to £10,000 to pre-start/early-stage businesses working in the science, technology and/or creative industries.
Running for the second year in Inverness, examples of businesses supported include Ambaba’s re-usable nappies; Walkhighlands reliable route information for walkers in the Highlands; and Ewgeco, an energy-saving home monitoring device. For further information and application form, please visit
