The Puppet Animation Festival 2008 sees Edinburgh's Puppet State Theatre Company present a magical, comical, multi-sensory adaptation of Jean Giono's well-loved story. Accompanied by his faithful dog, a French shepherd sets out to plant a forest and revive a barren and desolate landscape. Hear the wind, feel the rain and smell the lavender growing on the mountainside in this memorable blend of pupperty and inspired storytelling. Hilarious, yet profound this wonderful parable of life tells the tale of a man who saw a need and decided not to ignore it but to "put things right".
A sparkling production most suitable for age seven years upwards although most five and six year olds (and adults) will love it too. Sell out at the Edinburgh Fringe 2007 and winner of the Eco Trust Eco Prize 2007 for Creativity.
