Proposals are currently being invited from artists and performing companies who would like to participate in this year's Imaginate Autumn Exchange (formerly WYSIWYG). This year's Autumn Exchange will take place at The Byre Theatre in St Andrews on Wednesday 1st and Thursday 2nd October.

This year's programme will have two strands;

Tour ready work -

To assist artists and companies to develop their touring potential predominantly in Scotland by creating an opportunity for them to present work to promoters.


Work in progress -

For artists wishing to present work in development. The Work in Progress strand is intended to provide a platform for discussion and development and bring new work to the attention of promoters and producers. Presentation can include a live performance element of work that requires further planning and rehearsals or an idea or concept of work that they would like to produce in the future. It is likely the idea will have undergone some research and preparation but will not have progressed to practicing or rehearsals. Each slot for Work in Progress will be up to 40 minutes and should include 20 minutes presentation and 20 minutes discussion.


Autumn Exchange aims to provide a balanced programme in terms of art form, age range, and new and established companies. There will be a limited number of slots in each strand and selection will be made by a panel of industry professionals. There are a limited number of performance slots. The selection criteria will be based on: 

 

• New or revised work 
• Work specifically created for children and young people 
• The performance has not been showcased at WYSIWYG for the last three years 
• The company is known to the Selection panel* 
• The company is Scottish based
  
  
  *if you/your company is not known to Imaginate or the selection panel, a member of the selection panel/Imaginate staff will be in touch following your proposal submission to chat about you/your company and your work.
