FALSTAFF Unwrapped Seminar and Presentation
FALSTAFF Unwrapped Seminar and Presentation
15 April 2008

Scottish Opera would like to invite you to participate in a forthcoming community event based on Giuseppe Verdi’s FALSTAFF.

What’s involved:
Your group has the opportunity to attend a free seminar, which aims to ‘unwrap’ the plot, characters and music from Falstaff prior to attending a special presentation in June at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness (see below for full details).

Content of seminar : 60 minutes duration.
A member of Scottish Opera will come along to your venue, bringing with them some of the stage designs featured in the production. Over the course of the seminar, the music, characters and storyline of the opera will be explored. Your group members will have the opportunity to engage in discussion about key aspects of the production (e.g. style of staging, period setting, costumes etc) that Scottish Opera’s creative team have brought to bear on their artistic interpretation of this opera.

Dates for seminar:
The seminars will take place from 4 – 6 June (day time and evenings available) at a time and date that best suits your needs. Dates are limited so please ensure you let us know your preference at your earliest opportunity in order to guarantee that we can accommodate you. If you have availability over a number of different dates, please list all the alternatives.

If your association / community group would like to participate in this free event, you must agree to provide the following:

• A minimum of 12 interested individuals from your group

• A venue where the Unwrapped Seminar can take place

• CD player
