Four on Six is an exciting jazz quartet based in the city of Inverness. The band, formed in 2005, features Laura-Beth Scally on piano and vocals, Roger Niven on guitar, Bobby McDonald on acoustic bass and James Hendry on drums. Four on Six like to think their sound is at the cool end of the spectrum. Whether they are playing standards or original material, it is obvious that they have been influenced by the music of Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall and EST (among others).
