This is a six-hour course giving a qualification to food handlers which is nationally recognised by all sectors of the food industry. It will provide food handlers with a basic understanding of food hygiene. The certificate provides employees with the working knowledge required to ensure hygiene regulations are followed correctly.
The course covers: Bacteria and how it affects food; Food pests and their control; Cleaning practices; Hygiene and habits of food handlers; Hygiene in the preparation, cooking and storage of food and Current food legislation.
