Event: Beginners wire jewellery workshop

Laura Murray is a Scottish Jeweller, she studied Jewellery and Silversmithing at Glasgow School of Art then completed a Masters of Design. In 2000 she set up her studio in Glasgow where she currently lives and works and sells her jewellery around the world. Laura has recently exihibited in the Cutting Edge exihibition,showing at Aberdeen Art Gallery and the National Museum in Edinburgh, with the Crafts Council and the Lighthouse in Glasgow.

The jewellery wire making course is suitable for beginners. Laura will show many wire making techniques for jewellery, introduce basic jewellery equipment and each participant will go home with a finished piece of unique jewellery! All materials are included in the cost. Booking required.

Description:

Moray Art Centre is a non-profit, centre for the arts running an annual local and international programme of exhibitions, events, classes and art residencies. The environmentally built and designed centre is situated in the unique landscape of Findhorn Bay, Moray. Internally the new centre has been planned to be a vibrant and motivating environment which allows people to meet, discuss and generate a community of creativity. The centre has three rentable teaching studios, four individual artist studios, a Community Gallery and in the near future a main hi-spec gallery.
