Alice graduated with a BA Hons in Glass and Architechtural Glass from Edinburgh College of Arts in 1999 and spent 3 months in Year 2000 as Artist in Residence at Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Wales.

At the time of her An Tobar residency, her work included cast glass and abstract coastal landscapes.
