Fall under Scottish Ballet’s spell as The Sleeping Beauty prepares to awaken once more

This Christmas Scottish Ballet offers audiences the opportunity to fall in love all over again with its most delectably decadent festive production, The Sleeping Beauty, sponsored by Bank of Scotland. Scotland’s award-winning national dance company will be casting a magical spell in theatres across Scotland, Northern Ireland (Belfast) and Wales (Cardiff) as this ’must see’ production adds a little sparkle to the winter months.

Opening on the 6th December 2008 at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow, this ’must see’ production adds a little sparkle to the winter months, casting a magical spell over Edinburgh, Inverness, Cardiff, Aberdeen and Belfast during the tour.

Shape the Future of the Big Lottery Fund
'Big Thinking' is an opportunity to help shape the future of the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland. Over the next few months they will be consulting on a new six-year strategic plan, looking at the overall approach they take and the focus of their work. On Monday 1 December 2008 there will be an event at Inverness Caledonian Stadium for those wanting to contribute to the consultation.

NESTA’s Starter for 6 programme provides enterprise training, support and grant awards of up to £10,000 to innovative business start-ups across Scotland. Now in its 3rd year, applications for the 2009 programme are open to individuals and teams with a strong business idea in the science, technology and/or creative industry sectors. "The Blank Album" Tour Dates in the Highlands and Islands
Gilmore Productions, the Glasgow based dance company led by Artistic Director Natasha Gilmore, are to tour their entertaining new production, The Blank Album, around the UK from 26th September. A high energy piece which combines rock music, pop imagery and complex choreography directed by Natasha Gilmore, The Blank Album features music composed by Quee McArthur of Shooglenifty, the maverick Scottish band whose unique blend of dance vibes and roots music has earned them a huge following.
