Or online at www.glasgowfilmfestival.org.uk Highlights from the weekend will be: From The Archives... on the Friday night featuring rarely seen early work by Wim Wenders, Chantal Akerman, Lindsay Anderson and Margaret Tait. Followed by drinks and a preview of the CCA's new exhibition featuring a specially commissioned film by Sarah Tripp. Saturday opens with a panel discussion 'Why Make A Short' chaired by journalist and producer Kaleem Aftab and will include industry experts Robbie Allen from Scottish Screen, Karen O'Hare from GMAC, Moira Jeffrey critic and former Scottish Arts Council Officer, and acclaimed local filmmaker Zam Salim. Saturday's programmes will also include award winning films 'Soft' by Simon Ellis, 'The Tube With A Hat' by Radu Jude (Best Short Sundance), UK Film Council winning short 'Shell' by Scott Graham, among others. Concluding with a retrospective programme of Zam Salim's shorts, with post-screening drinks reception. Sunday's programmes will include Paddy Considine's 'Dog Altogether', and BAFTA Scotland winner Alice Nelson's 'Losing Myself' among others. | |
