Scottish Traditional Dance Project
Opportunity for Dance Tutors
This project will bring together 14 nurseries from across Fife who are keen to offer young children under 5 an opportunity to take part in traditional Scottish dance. Fife Council is looking for 2 dancer tutors that will take part in this 8-week project rolling out from Oct-Dec 2008. You will work with five nurseries on a weekly basis, visiting one nursery each day to deliver between four to six 30-minute sessions of physical traditional dance activity per day. You will also be required to deliver between 2-4 twilight (from 4-6pm) dance training sessions to nursery teachers from Oct-Dec.
Personal specification includes some experience of Scottish Traditional Dance, a dance teaching qualification, a high standard of personal performance, some previous experience of working in a teaching capacity with children (preferably nursery aged), able to travel around Fife. All employees will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland Check. Fee: £3,000, Travel: £400.
