| WASPS Studios Has Inverness In Sights | |
| 03 December 2008 The charity WASPS studios which provides artists' studios across Scotland is looking to provide studio space in the Highlands and Islands and Stirlingshire. WASPS Studios has forged a £3 million partnership with the Scottish Arts Council to develop at least five new studios in the next five years. WASPS Studios says that its priorty will be to open a new studio in Inverness or elsewhere in the Highlands and Islands and in Stirling where there is a great need for studio space for artists. The organisation currently has 400 artists on its waiting list and it is hoped that this new venture will cut this list by up to half.
