Joan Baxter, a Textile Artist from East Sutherland in Scotland has announced details of a range of tapestry masterclasses to be held throughout 2010.
The details of the classes are as follows:
Tapestry Summer School, Laesoe, Denmark
2nd - 7th August 2010
This is an annual class, now in its 6th year, for all skill levels. It gives students the opportunity to develop new skills and techniques, to design and weave a small tapestry during the class and to interact with others interested in tapestry. Teaching is in English and is a mixture of formal demonstration, class discussion and one to one tuition. The class takes place in Byrum school, on the beautiful island of Laesoe, off the north east coast of Jutland.

Tapestry Masterclasses 2010
There are many beginners tapestry classes but very few which take the learner beyond the basics. These classes are part of an ongoing tapestry masterclass course comprising 10 modules and are aimed at those wishing to reach a professional technical standard as well as developing their own voice through the medium of tapestry.
